About Me

I’m Mick Bradley; a husband, father, geek, roleplayer, Web designer, football fan, podcaster, progressive, postmodern Christian, mythophile, celtophile, writer, and sometime stage-actor. That’s an odd mix of labels and I suppose I like it that way.

I currently live in Louisville, Kentucky. I was born and raised in east-central Michigan and spent my college years and my 20s living in the Texas Panhandle, mostly in Amarillo, where I was heavily involved with Amarillo Little Theatre and also worked as a residential treatment specialist at Buckner Children’s Home.

After moving to Louisville I began formatting, copyediting and designing Web pages and print publications during my 4-year tenure as a design assistant with the Office of Theology and Worship at the Presbyterian Center. I’ve also studied Web and Graphic design at Louisville Technical Institute.

When our first child was born in 2002, I chose to begin working from home as freelancer and all-around creative guy while also raising our children. I get a lot of joy and satisfaction out of this arrangement – in fact I wouldn’t want things to be any other way.

My wife, Leah, is an ordained Presbyterian minister who works as Director of Alum & Church Relations at Louisville Seminary. Our boys are currently 4 and 7.

I’m also a slightly-more-than-casual NFL football fan. Since settling in Louisville I’ve enjoyed following the Indianapolis Colts, but the simple truth is I grew up a Detroit Lions fan and I’ll always keep some part of myself loyal to them.

My hobbies include podcasting, blogging, studying mythology and story forms, and playing tabletop roleplaying games and other collaborative storybuilding exercises.
